You are talented!
It may sound like a cliche, but it is true that everyone is talented in their own way. But what most people do is to concentrate on the talents that other people have and long for them. Instead, what we should really do is to have fun developing the skills that we have. Skill can mean any type of skill. If you have a nice voice and you can carry a tune and sing in tune, why not develop the skill? It is all one’s outlook. If the outlook is good, the views will be good too.
The most important thing that I have learned is that everything we do is to have fun and to be happy and most of all, to while away the time! The other thing that I have learned is that it is absolutely useless and demoralizing to compare ourselves with other people. This ruins our confidence and lowers our morale. Even when we know this, it has become a deep-rooted habit to do so. If you think about it, it is impractical and foolish too! If everybody is the same as others, what a boring and monotonous world this will be! We might as well be robots! So we have to ponder about it and gradually get rid of this habit.
Every individual is special and has unique traits that are beautiful and useful to others. But there are always people who have been born in this world just to make our lives miserable, by comparing us with others and making us feel bad. Society in this regard is sometimes not very helpful either. Well, let’s ignore them, so they may go after others!! Seriously, comparing ourselves with others, I think, is the root of most of the unhappiness in this world.
The only thing to be careful about is knowing what talents one truly has. Imagination and wishful thinking can lead to disappointments. But to recognize what really is fun for you and following it can be wonderful. Any advice anybody gives you, ponder over it, but always take it with a grain of salt. At the end, decide for yourself. Have fun!
