Remembering you
I just wanted to share this story with you about Teri Yaad Aayi Hai (remembering you).
Every singer knows what a thrill it is to be recognized by an established and renowned artist. My Ghazal album “Teri Yaad Aayi Hai” which means “Remembering You”, consists of songs by both myself and Mr. Anup Jalota, the world-renowned Ghazal and Bhajan singer. When I was recording this album, I did not have a clue about who is going to release that album.
After we finished recording, we searched for a company to release the album. However, my time was up to return home. When Mr. Anup Jalota learnt about this, he offered to release it through his own company, “Melody Music”. He said that the songs are so good that it is a shame if it went without being released. He even added some more musical enhancements to a couple of songs in addition to the excellent arrangements they already had. It was indeed a great feeling to know that such a great artist likes the songs of this album and my singing.
