Worry is like a Rocking Chair ?
Little friends may prove great friends

smallest kindness

Forget injuries, never forget kindnesses. Aesop

Kindness from a stranger… is the Sweetest and the most Wonderful feeling in the world. When I was working in a certain company, they asked me to sing for the Christmas Party. But I had no accompaniments. A fellow engineer, Joe, was a stranger to me for the most part, because he was working in a different group and we hardly ever met. But he offered to play the Keyboard for me. Not only that, he suggested a song from Jesus Christ Superstar, “I don’t know how to love him”. He even made me a copy of the album. He then practiced with me all the songs I chose to sing. During this process I discovered that Joe was really a very nice, gentle, sensitive person. I felt so good singing that day and we both had a lot fun. The audience, about 100 people loved the mini concert.

However, later I got the news from an inter-company email that Joe had passed away in a car accident. I always freeze and don’t know what to say, just like the way I am struggling to type on right now, whenever I think of Joe. I cannot still think of him without tears welling up in my eyes. It’s because of his unconditional Kindness. Joe is a great guy, and I say “is” because for me he always “is”. And he will always be Happy. For I am certain that Kind people will be taken care of the Higher Power.  Thank You, JoeI Love You!
